Civil Rights lawyer and former Minneapolis NAACP Nikema Levy Armstrong was arrested three weeks ago for protesting at a church in St. Paul. A pastor at the church, David Easterwood, is an ICE field director. The protest was a call for ICE to leave Minneapolis - and to call out a Christian Pastor who was working with the child kidnappers at ICE.

This press conference, which you can watch in full below was a call out of local law enforcement - Minneapolis Police, Hennepin County Sheriffs and others who have been working hand in hand with DHS in their assault on the city. On top of calling out the local law enforcement’s complicity in ICE’s regularly illegal actions Armstrong and others called out the weak-kneed elected leadership in the state who have done nothing at all to help residents protect themselves from ICE’s brutal kidnappings.

Nikema Levy Armstrong: “We expected Governor Walz to stand up for the people to call for the arrest of those who killed Jonathan, Ross and Rene. Good. But have we once heard the governor call for an arrest of those killers?”

I’ll have continued reports, catching up with the 300gigs worth of photos and video I shot while I was in Minneapolis.

This struggle continues, keep supporting Minneapolis.
