You do not under any circumstances, “gotta hand it to him” but white nationalist Jared Taylor who is a big fan of the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville that ended with the murder of Heather Heyer doesn’t think that the Department of Justice’s case against the Southern Poverty Law Center has any merit. In an unfortunately exclusive interview with Visu.News, Jared Taylor, a man who wants a voluntary “divorce” (aka segregation) of white people and non-white people in America told me that:
I think the charges are not going to stick. The idea that the SPLC was deliberately fomenting what it calls racism in order to tickle the money out of the pockets of donors, I don’t think that’s going to hold. I don’t think they were defrauding their donors. I think they were simply paying people to be more in organizations that they don’t like. That’s a time honored practice. You pay people to go and get the dirt on your political enemies. So I was very surprised by that lawsuit. And there are people in our circuit [?] saying, oh, this is great. They’re all going to go to jail and be fine. I don’t think the charges are going to stick.
Jared Taylor, who is the founder of New Century Foundation which published the pro-race science site, American Renaissance spoke at Salisbury University in Maryland on Wednesday April 29th.
Introducing Taylor was Colin McEvers, the chairman of the Maryland College Republicans and a candidate for Maryland State Delegate. He claimed he was drawn to Taylor’s ideas because of an “era of excessive anti-white hatred and discrimination.” Going on to claim that white kids like him were “not considered for colleges or job opportunities because they were not racially diverse enough and told to take a knee and kiss the feet of minorities who our leaders told us we had oppressed.” McEvers, is a current student at Salisbury University which is 70.8% white in a state that is 56.7% white.
The extremely tall McEvers who accentuates that height with a comically large cowboy hat told the small audience made up of a mix of protesters and non-college students that if “[Republicans] truly [want to] have a big tent, that there must be room for thinkers who simply wish to advocate for the interests of white people.” Taylor shared McEvers quoted goal “to keep [the USA] from becoming a non-English speaking hellscape where white people are spit at, despised and persecuted.
McEvers finished his introduction, which felt more like a campaign speech (he is running for Maryland State Delegate) with the news that he was launching the “formation of the new Maryland White Republican Council, which will aim to fully represent and fight for the interests of the white conservative community in this state, while also expanding the share of white Marylanders who identify and turn out to vote Republican.“ This is not surprisingly much different that the White Citizens Council’s of the Jim Crow era that fought against Civil Rights and for segregation.
Earlier, at the protest outside I spoke to Salisbury University history professor Joe Venosa who was holding a sign that said “Human worth has no heirachy.” Venosa, when asked what he knew of Taylor said, “he is essentially somebody who would be qualified as a eugenicist, somebody believes in racial hierarchy.” The professor teaches a class called Empathy and Demonization, went on to explain that the ideas behind eugenics “generally fell out of favor after the Holocaust in World War two. And as historian it’s interesting and a bit alarming that they’ve been on the ascent in recent years.”
Elizabeth, a student at Salisbury University wasn’t surprised at a white nationalist being welcomed to speak by the College Republicans on her campus,“If anything, it’s reflective of our the current state of our country and how polarized the general public is currently, that there is at least some members of a club that would want to invite this kind of hate, because ultimately, this is hate.”
They went on to explain that students like her don’t even necessarily understand the need to bring these sort of ideas on campus, “White supremacy is rooted in violence and power and disruption of humanity. So to bring somebody who advocates, who speaks of themselves as a white supremacist or a white nationalist, or who even propagates those ideas, I think is kind of inseminated hate onto a college campus, which is a place that I wouldn’t even understand why there would be that kind of ideology in this campus.”
The idea of a college being a space that students, especially Black or Hispanic students might be able to not have to confront vile views daily is beyond the imagination of men like Taylor of McEvans. Their persecution is of course imagined, one where they at worst, get bad looks while in line at Starbucks wearing a Charlie Kirk hat.
The Ill-Informed Delusions of an “Academic Racist”
Jared Taylor took around 40mins in his rambling speech of racist anecdotes and ill-informed statistics selectively pulled from census data and Gallup polling to do what Breitbart has been doing on their “Black Crime” news page for years in 500 words.
After covering a wide range of racists, white supremacists, race scientists, eugenicists and you name it - academic racists are the worst. It’s not that they’re necessarily anymore generally terrible than a member of Patriot Front or a Groyper - it’s that they’re just fucking boring. That said, the speaking to Taylor he is a “polite” and considerate interview. I mentioned that my first introduction to American Renaissance was when he bought a handful of photos from my wire service (not something I would have allowed, and have donated the very small proceeds to anti-racist causes) and that it caused me stress. He apologized for the problems I had.
This is a man that has been around long enough to know how to get along with the press and honestly I don’t think that he believes that he is controversial. And to be honest looking at the current administration his views aren’t that far off. Stephen Miller and Tom Homan share many of his beliefs.
Taylor looks at post-war nations like Yugoslavia as proof that people of different ethnicities need different countries to themselves. But when asked what he defined as “white” for America… Irish, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian… even Sicilian he accepts them all, as they are “European.” Citing the founding fathers regularly in his speech as men that wanted a white nation, he seems to forget that the Irish, whom he considers white were looked upon as less than by Jefferson and were considered a “Refugee Crisis” before the Civil War.
It’s easy to nit-pick and fact check the delusions of a racist and it should be done regularly and publicly. Rarely can they handle the easy corrections as their “academics” work in a different world. Taylor, blindly believes that a happy “divorce” of white people and non-white can occur. Citing the violent breakup of Yugoslavia that ended in the deaths of over a 100,000 people he claimed that, “In a marriage If you have irreconcilable differences, the solution is divorce. It’s called separation. This has been the solution many times. Voluntary separation. Yugoslavia broke up into seven nations, all of them much happier, having their own destiny in their hands rather than sharing a nation with people unlike yourself.”
It’s all delusional, not based on any real history or honest understanding of facts like every racist movement in time. Whether it be National Socialism, the Klan or Stephen Miller’s Republican Party - their racism is based on bullshit that they position to be real facts.
