Interview with journalist Amanda Moore: MAGA is Profiting off America's 250th Birthday

This episode of the VisuNews Podcast I’m chatting with journalist Amanda Moore. In June she published a piece in Mother Jones about the many tendrils of corruption that the government initiative America250 has.

According to its website America250 is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage every American in commemorating the 250th anniversary of our country. This multi-year effort, from now through July 4, 2026, is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

It’s supposed to be non-partisan but under trump it’s become like everything he touches - mired in MAGA profiteering. Nearly every facet of America250 has become a profit engine for MAGA world folks from Brad Parscale, to the event planners behind J6th, to the big guy himself President Trump.
